The Real Teal Deal is a bursary programme by UK Cervical Cancer, created to provide one-off financial aid to people diagnosed with cervical cancer, as well as their family or dependants.
Grants of up to £250 are available to help cover practical, emotional, or wellbeing needs during or shortly after treatment. The bursary is offered in good faith to help with challenges brought on by a diagnosis and the journey that follows.
Funds can be used for anything that supports your wellbeing — from medical costs and education materials, to groceries, utility bills, or even creative and social activities that bring you comfort and hope.
You can apply if you’ve been diagnosed with cervical cancer and are still within one year of receiving written confirmation from your doctor that you are in remission or clear. Reliable proof may be required.
Applicants must not have received a Real Teal Deal bursary in the last 8 months unless exceptional circumstances are reviewed and approved by the RTD Committee (RTDC).
Applications are reviewed by UKCC staff and assessed by the RTDC based on priority of need, alignment with UKCC’s mission, and the potential positive impact on the applicant’s life.
All submissions must be completed in good faith and accurately. Successful applicants will be notified after UKCC Board approval.
Funds must be used within 12 months. UKCC may request to share your story to raise awareness, and by accepting a bursary, you agree to this without compensation. There is no legal obligation from UKCC to provide bursaries, and applications do not create a legal relationship or guarantee success.
